Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a long-lasting, injectable dermal filler that can be used to restore facial volume and produce a more youthful appearance. Like other injectable fillers, it is a non-surgical treatment that is appropriate for correction of deep nasolabial folds, melolabial folds (marionette lines), sunken cheeks, wrinkles and lines in the cheeks, chin, and deep scars. The main ingredient of Sculptra® is poly-l-lactic acid, which is a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic substance and has been successfully used in surgical operations as an absorbable suture material for more than 25 years.

Two or three treatments are usually required, and the benefits may become noticeable after about six weeks. The improvement is gradual and long-lasting and provides a natural-looking fuller face. Sculptra® stimulates and enhances natural collagenesis at the injection site. Clinical studies have shown that the results last for two to three years after the final treatment has been completed, significantly longer than other injectable treatments. No allergy testing is required before treatment.
